Pre Conference Planning / FAQ

We look forward to your attendance at the NAWLEE 26th Annual Conference - "The Sky is the Limit" in Miami!

Below are details that will help with your planning.  Please note that conference / breakout room assignments will be added at a later date.  Additional family focused events will be added as they become available. 

  • The Hotel Rate is available three days prior and three days post conference. You must register through the NAWLEE hotel portal on the Travel/Hotel Page.
  • Registration begins at the InterContinental, on Tuesday April 19, 2022 at 1300.  The dress code for this event is business casual.
  • Breakfast and lunch are included on April 20, 21, and 22. Dinner is included on April 21, and the reception on April 19 also offers food.
  • The First Time Attendees – Meet and Greet, is Tuesday April 19, 2022, from 1600-1730 hours at the Intercontinental.  The dress code for this event is business casual.
  • On Tuesday April 19, 2022 after registration closes, there will also be an evening event for all attendees from 1730-1900 hours.  This will be a Welcome and Networking Reception (with food).  The dress code is business causal.
  • Wednesday April 20, 2022 will be Uniform Day.  For attendees not wearing a uniform the dress business attire.  
  • Opening Ceremonies and a Keynote Address will take place April 20, 2022 in addition to the Ribbon Cutting for the Vendor/Expo area, there will be time to visit with vendors, and then attend various breakout sessions.
  • On Thursday April 21, 2022 there will be more time to meet with vendors along with general and breakout sessions to attend.  The Business Meeting including updates, voting on bylaw changes (if applicable), and election of officers. The dress code for the daytime events is business casual.
  • That same evening will be the Motorola Banquet Reception and  Women Law Enforcement Executive of the Year Awards Dinner staring at 1730 .   The dress code is business/formal attire or uniform.
  • On Friday April 22, 2022, there will be more keynote speakers and breakout sessions.   Dress is business causal. After 1630 hours you will have free time to explore Miami, Fort Lauderdale or any other area of your choosing. NAWLEE will be sharing information on local activities pre/post conference.  If you are departing on Friday you should plan your flight for after 1900.
